Aaron Corman, Purchasing Agent

Aaron Corman - aka AC, ACGroovedog (to some of his west coast friends), or the CorMan (many of his high school and college friends still call him this, as does Bobby G - the man behind the curtain at P & C) - is one of our purchasing agents…the man who rides that razor’s edge between being out of stock and being overstocked. When he’s not in the P & C warehouse answering a myriad questions about product availability and making sure that our customers are all satisfied, he’s regularly spotted on soccer fields throughout New York’s Capital Region where he’s known as “Ref”. And in winters that have a normal amount of snow, he’s often known to be skulking about the woods on a pair of skis, trekking up mountains to find that elusive and ephemeral powder shot. Nearly twenty years of the good life out in Oregon make it difficult to break such a unique hobby as backcountry skiing, which is why he still spends at least a week or two out West every year.

He ended up back in Albany (his hometown) in late 2005 and was welcomed to the team by his old college buddy and owner of our company, Scott Bendett. The following year, Aaron helped facilitate the move from the basement of our last retail store to a warehouse about a mile away. In 2009, after making a commitment to live back in the Capital District on a year-round basis (he’d been living bi-coastally since 2005), he became the purchasing agent for pipe tobacco and many of the accessories that you see on our website. And in 2010 he helped coordinate the move from our most recent home to our current home on the 2nd floor of our new retail store, which opened in the summer of 2010.

And now, after being a part of an incredible growth phase of our company, he’s looking forward to making sure that each and every one of our customers finds what they’re looking for on our website as we continue to grow our product line and our business.
